From Stalled to Selling: The Simplified Starter Guide for Nissan Parts eCommerce

Welcome to your comeback

Our most successful Nissan dealers didn’t wake up one day and dream of running an online parts business. You’ve got your hands full already. So if your RevolutionParts store has been collecting dust, you’re not alone.

The good news? With this guide, 30 minutes, and a little willingness to try, you could start making your pockets fuller — without an eCommerce degree or another hire.

Let’s get started.

Step 1:

Make sure your store is live

Customers can’t buy from a store that isn’t open, so start by double-checking for signs of life:

  • Is your store URL working?
  • Can customers check out?
  • Are your products showing up?

Not sure? Don’t worry, your Customer Success Manager can give you a health check in minutes, as well as walk you through the basics to set you up for success.

Pro Tip: Not sure how to reach your CSM? Check out the Success Center in your RevolutionParts dashboard or send us an email, and we’re happy to connect you with your CSM.

Step 2:

Upload key inventory (you don’t need every part)

Perfection is the enemy of progress, even for parts eCommerce!

Dealers often stall because they think they need to upload everything before they launch. Luckily, that’s not true — what matters is getting your in-demand parts online. Think of it like stocking your best shelves first. Customers don’t need to see every bolt to start buying.

We recommend one of two options:

  1. Use the Nissan Starter List (pre-loaded with fast movers)
  2. Pull your Top 500 SKUs from your DMS

Once you’ve got your list, upload in bulk and voila, you’ve got your first listings!

Pro Tip: If a part is flying off the counter, it should probably be online too. Don’t wait for that “one day” when the DMS is organized and inventory is perfect. Start small and get your bestsellers up, and watch the sales come in.

Step 3:

Use Nissan PDC Direct Ship

Nissan dealers on RevolutionParts have the exclusive opportunity to ship parts directly from the PDC, instead of just from their own store.

This is where Nissan’s PDC program comes in. With dropshipping, you can sell parts straight from Nissan’s warehouse, without stocking them at your store.

The benefits speak for themselves:

  • No need for staff to spend time shipping out orders
  • No extra inventory to manage
  • No wasted shelf space
  • No delays on customer orders

Why it matters: Dealers using PDC fulfill more orders, faster. That means happier customers and more money for you, without needing to hire personnel or manage inventory.

And if a customer needs something fast, PDC can beat your shipping clock every time.

It’s like having an extra warehouse, without the rent.

Step 4:

Your prices on cruise control

We’re here to help you make money easier. There’s no need for manual guesswork, and definitely no need to undercharge just to compete.

RevolutionParts helps you set simple, automated pricing rules to:

  • Add a fixed markup
  • Adjust by part category
  • Change based on how fast parts sell

You can keep it basic or get fancy later. What matters is that your pricing makes sense, and makes money.

Pro Tip: Ask your CSM for “starter rules” if you’re not sure what works. You’ll be surprised how quickly you can improve margins with zero effort.

Step 5:

Promote internally & online

People won’t shop your store until they know it exists.

Start with the basics:

  • Add your store link to your dealership website (parts & service pages)
  • Add your store link to service receipts and appointment reminders
  • Add your store link to email signatures for your team

If you need help, RevolutionParts can do the heavy lifting. Ask about free promotions or our Agency Services offering.

Pro Tip: Just telling your service advisors and counter team to mention the online store can drive sales (word of mouth is not dead!).

Onboarding refresh:

The 5-minute checklist

Think of this like a pit stop, a quick check under the hood before you hit the gas.

Make sure the following is up and running:

  1. Your store URL is working
  2. Inventory is uploaded
  3. PDC dropshipping is turned on
  4. Pricing strategy is in place
  5. Shipping setup is live (labels + protection enabled)
  6. Marketing strategy is in place

If anything’s missing, your CSM can get you back on track in one call.

Dealers who use their CSMs make 2-4x more
